Status: offline 		Now, the next one is a bit more difficult because two bearings are press fit into the center of the stators.


In the picture i only show one bearing i noticed, but there are two as you shall see later.

I flew the 6350 all last year on a 10.2 lb 2M Pentathlon (pictured <---- ) and had great success.

This year I will be flying the 6360 -12T using either the 21X13W or the 20X15.

Chuck Hochhalter: Thank you very much for a most thorough and detailed description. I managed to change my bearings this weekend without problems. The buzzing noise at about 50% throttle didn''t dissapear though. My motor''s bell is not completly true, so I suspect that the noise may be related to that.

I had my bearings go out this weekend so I put in my backup. I noticed where the A adapter bolts on that 2 of the 5 arms were cracked all the way through. I had the same 60% noise you do. Changed esc''s made no difference. Put in the new motor, no noise. Only thing different in the two that I can see is the crack. Just a thought, but check yours.. Guess I got lucky by finding this early.

Status: offline 		I told you I noticed a noise in yours Steve.. After checking my bearings, they are rough while cold, but still spin good. I''m sure when they heat up they are crazy noisy which was what happened..

FYI, I emailed 2dogrc with the pics maybe two hours ago, they already had a reply from Dualsky with a replacement motor. Good customer service.. They said this problem was a problem with some of the motors that has been fixed.. Hopefully my backup that I bought at the same time doesn''t rip the nose off like yours.. lol.. Cause then a replacement airframe will be the cost.. As you know..

Nice meeting you also this weekend. Was some good conversations, and great flying!! Welcome back!!

Chuck, you mention the proper tools but don''t describe them. It is not clear how you push/pull the double bearings out. Do you have a dowel of just the right diameter? How do you hold the assembly when pounding the bearings out? Any heat applied?
I''m at about 210 flights now and haven''t had it out of the plane yet. No change in noise or performance as far as I can tell. Bought another one for my new plane.

Well I inspected my motor this evening and guess what I found: One of the arms is cracked all the way through. I'm getting a bit nervous about this motors. I'll report back on how the Norwegian dealer handles this. I think all Dualsky owners should have a good look at their motors............

This is their response:

Hello,

Dualsky has noted that there was a propblem with some of the motors that has been fixed. Please contact our warehouse tommorow to get a replacement motor.

I called today and they are sending a replacement. But now I am wondering if it''s worth risking my plane. That sucks because I like the motor. Doesn''t quite have the power of the Axi like I thought though.. Although mine''s the 11T..

Another thing I have noticed is that where the aluminum meets the black part of the can, one side of the aluminum has a 3/32 gap while the other is tight. Not sure if it was always that way, or if it has pulled out..

I''m glad I mentioned it now as I almost didn''t want to bring it online due to past issues with that..

The Norwegian dealer Rcnet just got back to me, and they are sending me a replacement motor. Excellent service. I will fly it and check it regularly. As some people is reporting over 200 fligths without issues, this can''t be a common failure. I like the motor as well, and would like to get one more for another plane if this one holds up. Mine is a 11T as your''s.

It seems to me that this could be avoided if the motor''s can where molded without these realitively sharp corners in the arms. A more rounded shape would not develop cracks that easy. Just my opinion....
