basically you should decide what kind of car/truck you want. Do you want a small car like you got for your husband or something big like a monster truck? Or you can do something in the middle.
And all cars/trucks have clear bodies so you can make any car girly.

Well I think i will want the mama bear car, not the baby bear not the papa bear but the mama bear... So in the middle sounds cool and probably a truck! I love trucks and I drive an SUV so a truck will probably suit me better!

I would suggest something that best fits your surroundings. I'd love a fast "road car", but I would have to drive too far to utilize it. What type of area do you live in? What type of terrain?

Well, pavement and sidewalks can be fun but it can really limit where you "play". Something with larger tires do MUCH better in grass and such. 4WD drive is cool. It handles different, but can reduce run times. I would suggest something 2WD with larger tires. Would you be interested in getting something that is "Ready to run" or would you like to assemble it yourself?

RE: I am new to RC...Any suggestions for a girl Truck or Car?
I dont know the model of Traxxas I got him yet, I just bought it on Ebay and they didnt have the model of the car posted on the listing... I just know that I got a descent deal. Hopefully My hubby can upgrade if needed and it will go fast enough for him to get the RC bug. I sure wouldnt mind having a hobby we could share together. He is a Pyro and that is a hobby I just watch with no participation so here is hoping he likes the car because I think I would love to get into it...

Teleca, your hubby is a lucky guy. I can't get my g.f. to even drive one of my cars let alone buy one for herself. I even offerred to make a custom ride for her, but she opted for a nice night out and new jeans....lol.
So, I don't think anyone has asked this so far, but what's your budget? I assume you want 4wd as well, right? I think that pink tamiya lunchbox (the van that looks like the scooby-doo "mystery machine" ) may be a perfect fit for you.

RE: I am new to RC...Any suggestions for a girl Truck or Car?
Off topic as well, but my sister was also online here for a while (Sun_Kissed_Girl). I taught her how to do the basic stuff (like maintinence, basic troubleshooting etc) and she took off from there. She only asked simple questions like "How would you recommend taking this off?" and I'd tell her, but she'd do everything, unlike other females (just making a generalization, not pointing fingers) who ask someone else to do it for her.
She started out with an RC18T Factory Team kit, Mamba 8000kv brushless, Associated batteries, and a Hitec FM radio. Then, she switched over everything to a Team Losi Mini-T PRO ARR. I think she liked the Mini-T more because it was 2WD so it was lighter and therefore would acclerate faster. She ran a 1320mAh 3S li-po battery and we clocked it at 60MPH going on the very slight downhill on our street. She liked to show off to the neighbors (all the guys) and they were like, "That little toy car probably doesn't go that fast."
She also drove, maintained, and tuned my HPI Savage 21 when I got a Savage X4.1. Let me say that drag racing her on the beach with 4WD nitro trucks is one heck of a good time.
But she left RC about a year ago when she got more into surfing, and I don't RC nearly as much as I used to, as now I'm into IT (Information Technology, yes, I'm a nerd ). I still have an extremely modded Traxxas Stampede, a mostly stock Savage X4.1, and 5 glow fuel airplanes.
Going back on topic; teleca, I think you'd be at home with (speaking from personal experience with my sister) an 18th scale truck or a 2WD electric stadium truck. The pros (from my experience) about the 18th scale trucks are that parts are relatively inexpensive, and they can go very fast for not much money at all. The downsides that I came across are that they are harder to work on since the parts are so small, and it is pretty hard to keep a Mini-T or RC18T going in a straight line at 60MPH. [>:] They get REALLY squirly going that speed. My sister once took her Mini-T out for a run on a smooth street, and she swerved to avoid a small rock on the road, and the Mini-T flipped on its roof and skidded down the street for a good 150-200 feet before comming to a stop (this was at full speed). The radio almost went out of range (because the parking lot we were in is in town, so there is a lot of radio frequency noise).
I find 2WD stadium trucks easier to work on, and they can easily drive on terrain that the 18th scales have trouble with (like gravel roads and grass), and they are also more stable at high speeds. I personally like my Traxxas Stampede (I have the late model), which I put Pro-line Dirt Hawg tires on so it is basically the same as a stadium truck, except that because the Pede's battery is higher than a stadium truck, it doesn't get sandy and wet as easily when I go to the beach and snow, and it also prevents the Pede from high-centering on objects (like curbs).
Here are a few random photos of my Pede and my sister's old Mini-T:
(note: these photos are from about a year ago when I ran different tires and rims)
