someone sent me pics of my son's airplane, when trying to upload it kept telling me file too large, I ha to reduce it so much you can hardly see it. It says 85x85 max 7 mg I tried 60x45, it still said too large. Could it be the way the pic was sent?

I right clicked the avatar on this post, and it says 10x8 pixels, BTW I'm using Irfanview to resize

there are two different size limits,

First is the pixels limit. 85 * 85 sounds reasonable to me.

Second is the mb limit.

Sometimes you have to knock down the quality because the file can still be over the megabyte limits.

My avatar is 1.274 mb

another avatar is 4.528 mb size.
