What is the mininum wire size when running about 7-8amps of current? I want to swap out my heavy wire (servos, rcvr, battery, etc) with lighter thinner wire. I read somewhere that 22ga would work ok.

Will 22ga wire support up to 8 amps? Say for a ESC? What about the gyro?

Try this website:

Use min. voltage (e.g., ~9.6V for 8-cell pack), and your goal is to stay under 2% voltage drop.

For an 8-cell pack with a round-trip distance of 2 ft., 22 AWG will work, but 20 AWG would be better.
