Bill, thanks for the photos. Has it been determined what caused the fire?

Has there been any talk of rebuilding?

Dave, I still think our orders and money went up in smoke. I'm not sure how you think the money was protected using paypal.com. Paypal.com I don't think can do anything.

In the mean time I doubled an order up elsewhere, but not holding my breath as I'm probably just another number in line. Who knows.

I heard from a Lancaster resident who lives nearby that there is a "For Sale" sign up in front of the building/site.

I have not heard back from LS on anything. I filed a dispute with PayPal. NO communication is a very bad thing. A notice on the website would help!

Copy/Paste directly from their web site:
"Orders placed via this website are known and you should receive some sort of communication from us shortly. "

How long "shortly" is, I have no idea. I would not wait on them.

If you paid via credit card, contact the credit card company. If you paid via paypal, contact them. If you paid by check or money order, and it was cashed, you may be hosed. If not cashed, spend the money to do a stop payment.

I've know Riley a long time. You are dealing with more honest people here than you may be used to. If I was in your situation, I wouldn't worry about it.

Geez....The mans company burned down, you have seen the pictures and some of you seem to think he must have did it so he could keep your money. just a bunch of crybabies, put yourself in his shoes as i am sure he is doing what he can for his customers. things take time......if you cant afford the hobby maybe you should find something else ..... the man did not get such a good reputation by cheating anyone. Thats all i am going to say on this subject...Good day!!!

From what I understand he plans on re-opening (just going by the web site and the posts)
I can't see any way to get back to business in that building.. It needs to be torn down and rebuilt.

I'd think his bet bet for a fast recovery would be to find a new warehouse and start fresh..
So having the old lot up for sale isn't necessarily a bad thing. (If it is up for sale)

FYI, Riley, who I have known since he had his facility in Lubbock, as far as I know, is not directly involved, his son is running the business.
I have seen Mrs Wooten at the facility. Riley has or had a trucking business, as his main concern.

Riley was at a Dallas CL contest in September. He was talking in a propriatary manner about ordering balsa and shipping out balsa to Midwest and other kit producers. So I do not think he is completely disengaged from Lonestar. It is true that his family is running the operation. His trucking company is Coastal Shipping with the picture a a dolphin jumping through a life preserver. I think he has 300 trucks.

Good input, thanks.
Maybe we'll get a local source back. I sure could use it.
