I also had a $200.00 order that was paid with Pay Pal. I"ve waited a long time for my refund, nothing has happened. Did you get your refund? Let me know, Walt in Yakima, WA.

Hello Bob. Did you ever get your refund from Lonestar Balsa? I also had a Pay Pal purchase for about $200 and have waited for the refund. I contacted Pay Pay about getting help from them and learned that I shouldn't have waited. The 45 day time limit had passed and I am out of luck
Let me know. Walt in Yakima, WA.

The new source of balsa out of the Dallas Fortworth area is http://www.nelsonhobby.com/ I just got their email and the list of balsa looks simular to that of Lonestars. Check it out if you need some wood.

The only problem I have with the Nelsons list is they don't have anything over 36" yet..

One of our club members spoke with Riley Wooten while at the Vintage Stunt Championships in Tucson recently.

Riley will not attempt to rebuild his business. He has retired following this loss. He sons are fully occupied with their own business ventures and cannot step in.

LoneStar is a closed chapter in the model aviation world.

Riley is a gentleman in every respect but simply has NO records available to issue refunds on orders that were in the works. Contact him and he'll try to sort things out.

I can tell you haven't read any of the "Lonestar Quotes". I have my PayPal record and sent them a copy once a month for FIVE months. My replys always come back from their web master with "please be paieint" we will get you your refundsas quickly as possible.
Do me a BIG favor and get me Rileys address or email and I will be glad to get in touch with him and work things out.People in the modeling hall of fame (Riley)shouldn't screw fellow modelers.
Scratch builders are a dying breed, it's to bad that honorable business has also died. I 'm old fashioned in that when I give my word to someone, I keep it.
Thanks for your help with the address .
Wally
