It might be like the spektrum stuff and if your bat. gets a voltage spike or a low bat. the receiver will reset and it takes it about that long to come back online, for this reason (and faster servos) i run 6 volt bat packs.

On another note i should have my Tango with in the next few days and i have a saito 91 straight header with a perry pump waiting to be received by it

I would like to know what the different weights are with the different glow engines and where you had to move what to get it to balance as i will also report my findings.

I am overly anxious to give all of you a flight report on how this bird flyes with this mill so wish me luck!!

My OS .55AX weighs in at 18.5oz with the Ultrathrust muffler. I have Dubro aluminium spinner nut which weighs 1oz.

My battery is a 6V 1400mAH NiMH which is as far forward on the battery tray as possible.

All this an my Tango is balanced about the middle of the suggested CofG and flys great.

Nitrofever,

I know what you are talking about with respect to altitude. I have flown in El Paso, 4000' and went to the field in Colorado Springs, 6300'. You need a .91 in your Tango.

I went out to visit my dad in El Paso many years ago and took a couple of planes. Both planes were over powered by Florida standards. In El Paso, they were so-so. 7000' has to be really bad for performance.

How light is this plane? I picked up my friends with an OS 55AX and it was like a feather.

It's pretty light, and the OS .55AX pulls it very well indeed. Mine goes strait up and is a dot before most observers have finished saying Phwoooaaaar, what motor is that again

Yeah ed we call it altitude compinsation. I had this motor in a funtana 50 and it turned out to be 6 lbs 1 oz and it had almost desent pull out of hover.

I received my tango on friday and the wing had 2 broken ribs so i called up horizon and they will send me a new one. i repaired the damaged one so i can at least fly this weekend but the wing looks like crap. This bird is sooooooo easy to put to geather. it took me longer to move the motor mount holes for the big mill than the reast of the plane togeather!!! it ballenced out perfictly with my 5 cell 1100 mah pack right on the trailing edge, i will get an overall weight today

Well, I see RC Report ran your review this month.

Reading that article reinforced almost all the high points posted here over the past several months, (and the very few low ones, too).

1st Sunday this season I decided to go flying and stop building, lol...I should have continued building. I had my brand new,(replacement) SK50 on the nose of my Tango and went to the field.

One other member is flying a Tango and has reported exactly on the rudder issue. I fueled up, cracked the SK over and taxi'd around abit. I had a Rev Up 12x6 wooden prop for this maiden flight. The plane responded nicely on the ground so I lined it up, kept my thumb off the rudder and advanced the throttle.

I just finished reinstalling the engine after replacing the firewall and the cheeks. I substituted the laminated lite ply with 1/4" birch and epoxied it all up nice and neat. There was no other damage so I'll try it once again, next Sunday if the weather holds.

I do have to admit, after it ground looped to the left, it landed upright on it's wheels with nothing else effected. Gawd, I love this plane.

Happy Father's Day!

PM

Well guys it looks like I might have a tail section for sale for this wonderful plane the tango.. I was flying on my private 25 acres about 50 foot from me and about 10 foot off of the ground hovering it when all of a sudden i lost control of it..I had nothing..So all i could do was watch it pull out of the hover at 3/4 throttle and level out then fly out of sight..I got on my golf cart and went looking here is what I found about 1 mile down the road in a garage door in a guys field..
