Rabbit, the stock hubs are 23mm, not 22mm.

ya but theres no way to run 23mm wheels on it, unless there the stock ones, it still uses the 6mm stub to lock the wheel down, proper 23mm wheels are alot wider where they mount (u should know what i mean, but its really bad explanation lol) So u wouldnt be able to use the stock 23mm hubs with say DACE 23mm hexes

how does the .50 match up to the lrp spec3 .28? I'm not asking if one is better then the other just performance. Like is it worth it to buy one because I have a mgt done up with the spec 3. I was going to get a revo but I saw the 8.0 and it looks cool.

If i were you i get the 8.0 cause you exchange alot of the parts on the mgt with it.

The stock hubs on the new MGT 8.0? They are 22. At least that is what they say everywhere. I even had a long discussion as to why Associated would do something like that with one of their support people. However now that you have said this I will try and fit a big joe over one of the stock hubs but it says 22 everywhere....

I totaly want a Truggy but not sure which one to get. I am very interested in what XTM will come out with just because it will have good features at a decent price. However I think I want to build a kit for the Truggy. I have not done a nitro kit and I think the truggy would be a good one. Every time I go in to the HS these days I almost walk out with Truggy... either HPI Hellfire or a Losi or a Kyosho... I dont know.... it is driving me nuts cause I really should not be buying any new freakin trucks but truggys look very cool and tough and fun as hell to drive.

it does say 22MM on AE's site and all the ad's, but on the MGT forum Thermal measured them with a digital caliper and they measured 22.95mm. he has a picture of it on that forum as well

OK well, as soon as I get my son to bed I am playin with the MGT and will see if one of those Big Joes fits... I'm going to get to the heart of this thing man. Cause if I can not put 23's on there then calling them 23's doesnt do me any good. hehehe

QUICK ONE, PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR PICK FOR BEST SHOCKS. I dont want the Factory Team ones so I want to get something tough and dependable. I dont want to hear from people who do not jump their trucks, jumpers and extreme abusers need only answer LOL. I want to get these quick since I really do not like the stock ones.... despite the fact they have taken a ton of abuse including a broken arm and they are all fine... Come to think of it... in my experience maybe I should fill them with 40 weight and let them ride....

Thanks!!!

I was thinking of going gas like the hpi baja. I just thought that so many people talk so much about the revo it should be next on my list . I run with one but it's not in the best shape and it does run hard. I did look at the muggy but got the lst2 and I'm glad I did. I was watching this dude run a truck just rear wheel drive and was cool seeing this thing go around corners It was an hpi but not sure what it was. I gave a look at the gst 7.7 and I do like the new mgt so I'm not sure what I'll do.

Scotty, all you'll need is a big washer for the outside of the wheel, to go between the wheel nut, and the wheel. Rabbit, the hubs are 23mm stock. I questioned this a while back, when i saw someone by the name of rabbit ask on the AE Q&A forums, and they replied they were 23mm. I also made a thread here a while back, christmas day i believe.

Rabbit, there should be plenty of shock options. If you dont find any specific to the MGT you like, check the maxx shocks. They should be the same size. Unfortunately Proline doesnt make the powerstroke kit anymore. Or i'd reccomend those. I have the FT shocks on mine, that i bought BEFORE i realized AE had a full set coming for the 8.0.
