I never said truggies weren't durable. some of them are durable as all heck! I meant that truggies lack the ground clearance of a MT. So if you bash in really rough terrain like rocks, gravel pits, rough dirt etc. a truggy is not as functional as a MT.

This is true. A truggy is just a MT with a LCG and built more for racing (suspension, tires...).

Truggies are more like buggies than they are like monster trucks. Truggies are just overgrown buggies per se. Compare chassis design, engine placement and suspensions between buggies and truggies. Very, very similar.

Put another 6 tanks through it today, bashed around pretty good at the beach hitting dunes and everything still in top shape. At one point performance degraded terribly so I changed the plug and cleaned the fliter and I was back in action... This truck is probably one of the most fun I have ever had. I could sell off most of my stuff and just drive this most of the time! We got a couple small clips of video which I will post later but no big deal.

That's not true.. I have a Savage, LST2, Muggy, and a new truggy, as well as an on-road car, and the LST2 is easily the most difficult to work on...

The 3.5, being an older model Savage, IS somewhat more difficult as far as accessing the diffs.. But the trade-off is that you have the toughest 1/8 RC MT - period....

We will have to see about that, this MGT 8.0 seems to be pretty tough Might have a new king of the yard here...

You don't want a Savage 3.5.................it's got a small .21 engine. You want a Savage with at least a .28 (4.6cc) in it.

How can the 22mm hubs be replaced?

Are there adapters or replacements for the older MGTs that will allow you to use mainstream wheels?

Could one of the 8.0 owners verify the part number for the forward only conversion from their manual. I wanna see if it uses the same FOC as the other MGT's.
