ORIGINAL: tuclai K223, NewEra is in US. I live in California, I think they are somewhere in Indiana or somewhere around there. Takes about 3 days. forlorm22, If you have not bought the Proline adapters, then save your money I am telling you I have them and they are just sitting in my spare parts box. So I broke all my cars in this weekend. I would say that the MGT 8.0 and LST 2 has the best engine layout design. The way they are positioned it is easy to use the roto start and easy to make sure the engine piston is on BDC after you stop the truck. LST 2 has great and fast steering. Savage XL seems like HPI really forgot something. They extended the chassis on the rear of the truck but did not extend the rotostart shaft! You have to like angle it in a weird way and go through between the shocks to start the truck. Kindda awkward. And I hate the safety feature of the starter, when the engine hydro lock you would have take the whole thing back out, move it a bit and try to pop the safety button back out. AE and Losi's rotos dont have that problem! The Savage XL comes with an engine heatsink protector, but it seems like they forgot to extend it for the longer chassis! So you cant use it! Throttle servo of Savage is pretty bad, its too weak to pull the throttle open and hold with the return spring. The servo keeps twitching. The TMaxx's servo had problems with Futaba's spectrum receiver right off the bat. Voltage issues. Well anyways, after doing troubleshooting turns out its the steering servo. So it was keep the stock receiver with stock servo, or keep the Futaba spectrum receiver and change the servo. I did the later, a Hitec 340 oz servo! Wow, makes me want to get this servo for all my trucks now. One thing I hate about the TMaxx, the way the engine is placed with that huge pipe they added, its tough to make sure the engine is on BDC! All in all breakin for the MGT 8.0 was the toughest (with settings from the manuals), however if you use the settings AE gives you breakin was easy. All the trucks broke in fairly easy. I dont know if the MGT was so tough back then cause it was my first RC, so did not know the little tricks to getting the engine up and running when problems occured. I will be taking the trucks out next weekend to bash. Do you have the part# of the Hitec 340oz servo? Do you have one in your 8.0 currently? I upgraded to a receiver pack and it makes a good difference in steering, but still want to upgrade the servo soon. Nice little comparison notes you put up for the beginning go over and small issues you have found. Looking forward to hear the performance reports! Yeah New Age is in New Hampshire....What was I thinking....LOL So should I order the adapters now and have them sooner then later as I only have the Proline adapters on hand to start using with the big wheels and tires....Luckily I got them cheap as they sound as if they will be spare parts in the toolbox. Can I see a link to your truck sitting with the adapters on and the wheels currently? I just want to make sure they are not pushed so far out that the truck starts looking ridiculous or so wide that this in itself will cause issues in tight places or if I throw it on the track with 40 series crimefighters. I have a feeling they may help in steering here as well.... K223
