If the weather outside is normal under 80 degrees F, you should be able to let it idle without over heating issues. Just keep an eye on temps and avoid over 200 degrees F. Best to put it under shade somewhere. A tip is to put it up against something so you can give it some light throttle here and there to clear out and keep it alive.

Interested to know if there are any options out there yet, but nothing in engine size comes close to our 8.0 Yet I am thinking 1/8th scale pipes out there that are built for Hot .28 race motors might just work....But that might be alot of guess work and testing. I heard Buku might be developing something for the 8.0, but then again only hear say. Maybe in a few months the AE option pipes will finally be available ;-)

Honestly,

I dont understand the reason and need for a new pipe in our trucks? I mean the truck stock has enough power to do whatever it is we need it to do right?

Elite said it best.....As a true motor head.....LOL I mean for a specific application at times too much power can be a bad thing...But for what we do with these trucks...Too much is not enough ;-) Besides it's exciting to tweak and enhance these things...

Remember how I said I liked that Jato after seeing one run around a parking lot....Just an overpowered, no particular class it can fit in, out of control thing....But it hauls butt....One reason why I bought the MGT 8.0....Just a big overpowered impressive beast....Had to have one.

Well I think they make pipes for the TTR .70 motor and thats plenty bigger than the 8.0..might work..You never know...

Exactly....One of the pipes I was eyeing for a long time....I think they only offered that particular pipe that came with it...But looks like your more conventional pipe....Vs. a muffler type. I guess even if it's not super hi-po it was still used with the .70 So in that case it might work well with the .50 But knowing how much the pipe means to a 2-stroke it can produce either good or poor results or expand just the high end. I guess maybe worth a try as they can be had cheap of ebay at times. May just hold out for the Option pipe though.

I really just want the pipe, so I can mount it on the side of the truck.
I like it like that.

Really no need for more power.

I'll take the extra power....But it will probably make the truck cleaner with the pipe on the side, instead of crammed in the rear. Would be funny if it's basically a rebadged EK-4 .70 pipe.....Hopefully it's really tuned for the .50

Guys what is the best glow plug to use? I am running the new Byron's Gen2 nitro and the weather is usually dyer with less humidity and it is heating up here in Ga so the temps are in the 80's right now....

I was using MC59 but is there something better to use that my LHS may carry?

Also anyone else running the 3PM 2.4GHZ with there trucks?

I'm running the same fuel as you in 30% and switched to an MC9 plug. The truck has never ran so good...Have it tuned for great power and still runs good temp wise. I'm in FL and it's hot out. I also heard and which migh be a little cooler of a plug is the OS8 so I just picked up a couple of these to experiment with. But go with the MC9 as I know it works great.

The truck when finally tuned in well is a maniac and can be hard to control on high traction surfaces at full throttle launches. The wheelie bar helps to some degree but you need to feather the throttle to keep it controllable.
