Status: offline 		I have two 8 cell batteries that get hooked up together via a y harness my savage. Could I hook the whole thing up to the 989 and say it is a 16 cell battery? And also, do the mah's get multiplied by the number of cells to determine the total mah, or does it stay the same?(8 4000 mah cells = 32000mah or 4000mah) EDIT: If the charger is rated at 8000 mah, is that 8000 mah per cell, or 8000 mah total?

Status: offline 		Yes, you can hook them (in series) and call it a 16 cell 4000 mah (mah stays the same) battery. You are probably using them together in series on the e-savage so the voltage is added for 19.2 volts.

The two packs have to be in an equal state of charge (don't ever use or charge just one pack partway and then charge or use them in series)

Status: offline 		oh, so 300mah cells in an 8 cell pack will be a 300mah pack. darn...

that doesn;t make sense to me, because is each cell has a capacity of 4000 mah and you have ,say 2 cells, than you will have twice as much mah total. it is like adding weights to a scale. 1lb+1lb+1lb+1lb+1lb+lb=6lbs. I dont get it.

Status: offline 		that will work if you put them in paralllel, but then the voltage remains 9.6
