incarus -> capacity per cell (11/25/2007 4:41:23 AM)

I built 2 6s A123 packs because I can only build 6 cell packs at the most due to charger limitation. I have the hyperion 6s charger

my question is I know that the batts come with a partial charge . So when I put it on the charger what should a 6s pack show after being topped off in terms of charge.

also what is the expected capacity of a 6 cell pack

I think the 10 pack cell comes out to 2300mah so im assuming 230ma per cell????

2300 is the capacity per cell. Each cell is rated at 2300 mAh or 2.3Ah.

One cell =nominal 3.6V and 2.3Ah
ten cells = nominal 36V and 2.3Ah

Additional cells in series increases voltage not capacity.

Let's use water to explain electricty a little.

Capacity as in mAh / Ah would be same as gallons ,etc.

Volts would be same as pressure like PSI pounds per square inch.

Watts is volts times amps. so with water would be gallons per minute at at X PSI.
