2300 is the capacity per cell. Each cell is rated at 2300 mAh or 2.3Ah. One cell =nominal 3.6V and 2.3Ah ten cells = nominal 36V and 2.3Ah Additional cells in series increases voltage not capacity. Let's use water to explain electricty a little. Capacity as in mAh / Ah would be same as gallons ,etc. Volts would be same as pressure like PSI pounds per square inch. Watts is volts times amps. so with water would be gallons per minute at at X PSI. Charles
