Status: offline 		well i have to say this hasnt worked to well, in an attempt to un-glue a set of tires, i today boiled them for an hour, and still the glue is stuck, i don't know what else to try the heat is what breaks down the glue and there was plenty of heat, all i used was CA glue for the tires, nothing fancy to glue the tires on there, i'll try baking them but if an hour in 100 degree C water doesnt do it i don't know what will without melting the rims..

Status: offline 		just tried baking them for 20 minutes at 120 degrees C (about 250 F) and nothing, not hot enough? it's starting to test my patients as it's taken almost two hours so far and i haven't gotten one tire off of the rim, only thing i can think of is the glue.

Status: offline 		i tried using a razor once..takes forever and if you dont do it right, youll cut the tire instead of seperating the tire from the rim...be patient and maybe youll get some done.

Status: offline 		preheat the oven to 350 degrees. turn it off then put in your tires. wait for 15 minutes, then take them out. use gloves. squeeze the tires and they should pop off of the beads. it worked for me. hope this helps.

Status: offline 		are you trying to take the tires off the rims from your revo? i found that traxxas, from factory, put a honkin' load of CA on the tires and i can see the glue dried along the rim..they put a bunch...

Status: offline 		Baking them has always worked for me , you do need to pull them off while its still hot though .

I just laid the tire on its side and pushed the bead off of the rim .

I used these instructions as a guidline once - well, almost.. I left the oven on for the whole time, and "just to be sure" made it 20 minutes instead of 15.. I melted two tires and rims...


So, in other words, I think the way 89ram described it is probably about right...

Be warned though, it'll stink up your kitchen for a day..

Status: offline 		just boil them in 100 c for 10 minutes and then with a lot of force with your hand pust the tire out!

Status: offline 		yeah boiling water for an hour and it still ended up taking chunks out of the rubber to get one of them off of the rim, didn't destroy the tire but i'd rather have it left intact, i think i'll try the oven again tomorrow but go up to 160 instead of 120 C.

Status: offline 		yup boiling and the oven did nothing for me either in the end i threw them out because the oven melted the rims and boiling them destroyed the rubber and ended up ripping through the tire. next time i will try the ca remover it is sold by zap i think and its a red color used it a couple of times when building planes but could'nt find it when i needed it. good luck

Status: offline 		i tried acetone, didn't work.. i ended up prying half of each tire off without damaging them to much to get the tape out of there ( it came unstuck from the tire and was unbalancing the wheels, thats why i needed to get the tires off).
