Does anyone know of a headset that can take two video inputs, one for the left eye and one for the right? It would be fun to play around with remote 3D.

Hi..

just a note of something I once seen mentioned..

3 d works well up to about 15 feet of altitude...after that, if your using the standard camera separation of what the human eyes provide, the effect becomes pretty much nil...meaning no effect at all. If you put one camera on one wingtip and one on the other it might work...but the aiming would be extremely crucial...and would eliminate ever moving the camera for adjustment let alone a pan/tilt mechanism. I seen a statement that height effect goes away after 15 feet..and have experienced this in full size aircraft. The scene below pretty much looks 2 d except just at touchdown/takeoff.

I was thinking about a ground vehicle. Although I thought it would be cool to try cameras spread far apart to see what kind of range you could see still 3d at. Kinda like those donkey ear trench binoculars from WWII.
