And if anyone can suggest re: this.

Did anyone replace stock servos on LST2 (steering) with one stronger highspeed one? What did you use?

most people just swap out the 590's for 650's

Well, what i wanted to do it to remove two steering servos and use one instead. But that one has to be high-speed and strong enough to replace two stock ones. I am told that by doing that i'm increasing the battery life and there is no hassle with steering adjustments.

Dual servo setup is the best for the LST, IMO of course.

I was so impressed with the HiTech steering servo in my Truggies over the last year I went all out on the LST.

93grams 2300mah, with 866oz's of servos in my LST I can run a long time without worry...

6.5v at 7amps regulator in radio box along with my transceiver.

Setting up dual steering servos is a skill worth learning, once mastered it becomes a trivial task.

Results were positive in nature.

There is one sure way to get more speed out of your LST2... throw a .28 7 port in it...No complaints on my end

I'm not sure if you're talking about the set IL2mSturmovik linked to or not, but it comes with:
66/19 low speed=3.47:1
59/26 high speed=2.26:1

Whereas the stock gears are
70/18 low speed=3.88:1
63/25 high speed=2.52:1

I went through entire eBay and google....couldn't find a gear with 59 and 66 teeth. Are you sure this info is correct?

P.S. If I won't find 59/66, I'll then get Delrin gears. I understand they're better material gears, however I believe 59/66 (if they really exist) will give me max speed.

Just another thought.....

What if......

I order from a local machine shop to make these sizes?

64/24 low speed
56/32 high speed

I guess the brakes won't be needed here anymore. Only a parachute...

Just thinking....

I got the specs straight from Horizon's web page.
