hello, i own a 645MG servo i use for steering in my Traxxas Revo, alot of snow has been falling for the last few days and i wanted to run it outside but first dicided to waterproof the servo with o rings and silicone, when i opened the servo a little bit put the silicone all around the servo top and bottom, i install it back in and i was testing nothing was wrong with it and all of a sudden i felt it really hott!.

scared to death i open it back up clean it and leave it the way it as then begin to feel alot of heat again and sometimes i doesnt respond.

what did I do wrong?

2 hours later update
i started fooling around seeing what was wrong, the thing started going every where, got curious opened the potentiometer, put it back out of control ate my battery in minutes, reached 150C temperature, so hot all the wires fell off......................wow, so cheap

I don't know... You can send it in and let us check it out, but be aware that since you modified the servo it may not be covered under warranty.
