Yeap, thats the French company.
They make VERY serious, not to mention BIG... jet models.

Couldn't find that spit, only the last foam wing version but it sure looks nice.
How much?

1: 5.5 Scale 80in wingspan, billed as an ARF, approx 30 hrs work for the previous kit of this a/c that required the wings in 3 pieces joining and covering.I guess you could have this fully composite everthing, ailerons surface hinged, wings ,stabs plug-in flying after 15-20 hrs.
Very impressed so far with the quality/lightness of components (designer gives wt as 7.5 to 8.5 kg dry)
I intend to fit mvvs 26 gas motor (designer recomends 20-32 2 stroke and 20-30 cc 4 stroke power)
Surface moulded detail is the best I have seen in a moulded kit (aviation design produce very fine turbine and D/F kits see their web site(the ARF Spit is not there just the older kit on which its baced)
I have a lot of projects on the go but hopefully this will be flying soon. I have the YT Spit pictured as well but the product is miles behind the AD one.

Very good company to do buisiness with excellent communication via e mail (I have no connection with this company, but I think it's good to be able to give possitive feed back to ballance some of the not so happy storys on RCU)

Alan, basic price is 640 euro or $864 us, sounds a lot and is, but to scratch build to this standard counting hrs and materials then I think its's well worth the money. I have had 1/6 MR Spit with missmatched port starboard FG fuz and mind blowingly complex wing/tail plans that require the imagination of JK R to complete. I have a Retlas Spit and your late MK. The best so far has been the YT , quality/price. I prefer the MK 9 profile and I have examined some of the AD jet products, so I had no hesitation in ordering their Spit unseen. I had the missfortune to see a World Models "Spitfire" stagger around the circuit and plant itself on our vast tarmac (in Dubai) That pile of balsa and shiney film covering costs over $800 in Dubai....
I am so far, happy with my purchace!

I look forward to the new comp Spit from YT, will be an interesting comparison , any idea what MK or price for that one?

Regards Chris

Very nice design, looking forward to seeing how it balances as it is 100% scale. Other similar composite design of this plane has been very tail heavy...hope this one is not as I really would like to get one myself...

Looks nice. Could you post a pic with the cowl off. Would like to see the fire wall mounting.

Thanks.

Rick, I am fitting an mvvs 160, with an inch driver xtension should be well hidden in the cowel.I will obviously cut an intake/exhaust for cooling.

Flypilot, composite elevator, rudder and plug in stabs appear to be light but strong.
