Finished my Yak and waiting for some good weather. I weighed the plane with a Berkey digital fish scale and came in at 28lbs 4 ozs with cans and 5955 all around 3 Fromeco 2600 packs with 3 Fromeco Regs. and 2 Fromeco switches.

Does this sound about right. Sort of hoping for a bit lighter, but really the only way would be to take the cans out and put stock mufflers on.

Thanks
KF

KJFAULK,

I have not had much luck with that brand of scale. You might try to weigh something with a known weight. For example when I used my scale on a 20lb weight from my son's weight bench, it was way off. (Of course I'm assuming that the 20lb dumb bell actually weighs 20 lbs.) My scale read over 1 pound high.

It is a fish scale lol. I once caught a 14 inch bass that weighed 5 pounds on a fish scale lol it was way way off.
