See the nut right below the carb, loosen it 1 turn and twist the carb back and forth while pulling up it will come out then flip it, put it back in and tighten the nut.

Loosen the top brass part that holds the high speed needle, then spin the fuel inlet to the desired location and re-tighten.

ran 1 tank today.

at the beginning, easy to start, but not idle.

maybe LSN is too lean, richen it half turn. the engine ilded

perfectly.

after halpf tank, i stopped the engine and let it cool down.

after the temp dropped to 80 F. i tried to start again.

man, so easy, the engine started at the second pull.

the headsink is so powerful . my temp gun showed the glow plug

was 160 F. my on board temp gauge showed the crankcase is 210.

after ten minutes, the crankcase reached 240 F automaticly.

there was still fuel in the tank, i didnt know why the temp went

up, maybe because of the "break in"

ohh yeah.. the 247 is a silly powerfull engine. I hope you have the HD dogbones and some good center drives because the 247 will mangle the stock ones pretty easily. I run 247's on my maxx and on my landmax 2 and I just finished puting a 247 on my buddy's savage with a 16 tooth clutchbell and an MIP MP7.5 2 shoe clutch. it erally made his savage a beast.

finished the second tank. with less than quarter throttle, the

savage front wheels pop up.

it still needs further break in. i stopped the engine, let it cool.

after 5 minutes, the temp dropped to 68. (it's windy).

i started the engine again, and i heard "B..B..B" from my transmitter.

yep, low battery.

tomorrow, i will finish the break in.:

Hey LandShark what do you think the top speed on your Savage is going to be now that you dropped in that XTM 24.7.

the top speed will improve , but i dont know how much

i went back to 14t clutch, and the xtm's top rpm is 28000.

stock savage engine has 30000 top rpm, but i dont think it

could reach that high.

i will finish the break in tomorrow. if i can not see the

improvement of speed, i will change those tires to Jumbo

tires

why switch to jumbo tires. that will make it slower and it will be harder to do wheelies..?

bigger tires will help to improve speed if there is enough torque
