all i can find is that the transmitter that comes with the Diablo is a 4 channel, can anyone tell me if its 72mhz or not?

has anyone put in a brushless system into the Diablo and if so, which motor and esc did you use? how well did it work?

Hey nicklbn1: Listen, You have a turd, the diablo is crap and a big headache. That is the gods honest truth. Dont worry about a brushless, or anything else for this jalopy. Here's what you want to do, first get some gas, and pour it directly onto the diablo, now it's important to get the gas all over it because you'll be sending it straight to hell. Next get a match, light it and stand back at a safe distance, finally throw the lit match upon the diablo and beholf it's tragic glory.
Afterwards, get a real plane and dont look back.
Oh and ...your welcome

Well, good thing I dont like the Diablo. lol. Actually, I took it out on its first flight, and it was glitching big time. I mean like every 5 seconds. one time the motor stopped for 5 or more seconds and then kicked back in right before I landed. I barely landed it without crashing it. It was not good. I was not impressed with the quality of construction on this thing. It seemed too easily breakable and did not have very big rudders and stuff, and so, it did not turn very quickly at all. I was glad it was defective, because the hobby shop I bought it from got their money back on it, and then I was able to spend a little more money and get a Parkzone f4u Corsair rtf. And I have not flown it yet, but I have it put together and man, it is SOOO much nicer and better built. The motor runs sooo smooth. I think I will love it. plus it has the 2.4ghz radio system, so no more glitching!

Hi there, I thought I'd jump back in and back up AA's comments. I can't believe this thread is still even open. I too had a Diablo, note had. The whole set up with the twin pods and shorter wing. It came out of the box with shipping rash and flew OK except that it was wayyyyyyy underpowered. I took the dihedral out of the long wing and put ailerons on it thinking it would be a good sloper or a trainer for my daughter. Pulled it up trying to go into a split S and the wings folded. I took the servos out, ESC and chucked what was left. A for effort on this one but F for execution. For those that still think there's hope for it, give up! Here's a list of easy and fun planes to fly: ParkZone T-28 and Corsair, E-Flight Sea Fury, Great Planes L-39 and Multiplex Twister.

You have to move the battery as far front as you can, this will keep the plane level, also put the motor pod on the top of the plane, this keeps grass and dirt from getting jammed in the motor. I do have to warn you to never use the smaller wings, they have no lift and the plane will never stay in the air. I love the plane though.

How can you love this plane? Have you had any others? If you must fly it though, and you want to use the small wings and enjoy it more, get a brushless motor and esc so it will at least fly properly. If you want to see this plane doing what it was truly made for go to you tube and type this in. diablo rc plane shoot down success.
