Status: offline 		That sheet is 100% correct and what I was trying to explain with relationship to the geometry. Both ends must match and rarely do folks cross the cables on giant scale planes. You get rubbing and other problems like messed up geometry due to the offset deviations. Example C is probably the more common these days due to the large and thick rudders. Having the horns offset behind the hinge line makes installing easier but of course you need a matching offset servo horn. Thanks for posting that sheet!

Status: offline 		i thought i had to cross the cables? on my normal fuse i don't but with the hybrid if i don't cross them, then i would have to make a slit along the hole side of the fuse..... has anyone done a straight pull pull setup on the hybrid?

Status: offline 		I haven't walked through this whole thread. Just curious. Is the Hybrid Edge legal for IMAC competition? I know it's sort of a profile, but is it true to scale enough?

I think you need a pilot and an instrument panel for IMAC. Unless you fabricated a clear canopy that rules it out. However, I do wonder if you where to put a picture of a pilot on the side if that would count .

Tiktock. I have my cables crossed. My pivot point is right on the hinge line and my servo arm is slightly offset. My gemetry is perfect. I have the same tension on my cables all the way through the motion. I mounted one cable to the top of the servo arm and the other to the bottom. I am using a SWB servo arm which is about 1/4" thick. Tthis keeps my cables far enough apart that I don't have any problems with cables rubbing.

That shouldn't be too hard to fabricate. I'm surprised more people don't select the Hybrid Edge as a 50cc IMAC choice. Sure, you have to build it, but it's a lot cheaper than the alternatives. Seems to have a better wing loading too.

Status: offline 		To fly IMAC though you have to be a scale plane. You could fly the Hybrid in Novice class though as this rule does not apply. In the Sportsman and up class though it has to be a scale plane. I was surprised how well the Hybrid does fly pretty good IMAC circuits.

Status: offline 		Has anyone been able to get the hybrid to do an inverted flat spin???... I have used up all my tricks and still can't get even close. Hybrid just starts flipping over on itself. if you try using less elevator, the plane just goes willy-nilly all over the place. I have got a decent up-right flat spin although it's not locked in as well as i'd like. I have a feeling that the extreme taper of the wing is not condusive to flat-spins.

Well, you could probably use the wing and tail surfaces verbatim. The fuselage would require some modification to make it scale-like.
