Just a note to let everyone know that the Black Hawk R/C Pilots are once again putting on a fantastic event coming this February16-17, the annual E/xpo electric fly-in within the University of Northern Iowas enclosed football stadium which is known here abouts as the Uni-Dome. The UNI Dome is the 16,000 seat domed indoor football stadium for the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA. The UNI Dome has no fans or blowers inside, so it's perfect for everything from slow flyers to 3D to helicopters. The flying field is 120 yards long with a 160 foot ceiling over the entire flying area with additional flying area over the seats on one side of the stadium. The entire field area is available for R/C flying. The flight line is 100 yards long running along the sideline. One end of the field is for 3D aircraft & helicopters and the other end is for "racetrack" or circular pattern flying. All fixed wing aircraft must have a flying weight of less than 20 oz. Door prizes for flyers and spectators. Sponsor and flying team demonstrations and R/C vendors on site. We look forward to growing this event again this year and are very excited to volunteer our efforts to make this the areas premier indoor flying event. If it's to cold and blustery outside, you will have this event to look forward to, last year there were over 350 spectators and flyers in attendence so bring your planes and bring your flying stand/table, but most of all bring yourselves and your friends and come join us for two days of flying fun!

I cant wait till this years UNI-Dome event! Last year was great! I got plenty of flying in. Flying in a football stadium with a 100 foot ceiling gave plenty of room for flying.

Look for club members while you are there for any help or answers to your questions. I look forward to seeing you there (and getting a bunch of flying in myself).

Just checking on anyone who has previosly attended one of our E-Expo in the dome events. Looking for some input, ideas, or suggestions on how we could improve on the event this year.
Also have room for a few more vendors and sponsors.

I attended last year and really enjoyed myself. I even built a Cox racer on site for the pylon racing! Do you know if there will be an 'unlimited' Cox racing class this year? I know some of the guys souped up their racers with brushless power.

Thanks so much to the Black Hawks RC Club for their Hospitatality. What a wonderful event and a great group of people. You couldn't ask for a better venue, two full days of flying and not a snag. Everyone was welcome 3D, slowflyers, racers, heli's, everyone flew as much as they wanted. I have been to events all over the midwest and this is the best that I have seen. You can count on us being back next year.
