I was looking at my collection of mini armor and thought I would try a few pictures with my new camera...turns out that it doesn't always make clear close-up shots. I will have to tweek the settings a bit in the future.

These are different sizes, and most are straight out of the box. I did paint the N.A.T.O. Abrams since I had two of the desert version. Anyone else want to share your true shelf queens?

Here are the last of the shots that I took. It is almost like having my own tiny museum. I need to paint that little shelf to appear more military-looking or build a diorama.

What scale? Well, I bought the M26 Dragon today and it is 1:72. The Sherman and some of the others are, as well. As for the rest...eh not really sure. I find it strange that I often catch myself driving by toy stores...that are not on the way home.

Challenger 2 looks 1/48 - a Tamiya? Looks good

The Sherman - an Airsoft (brand)? M113 perhaps Trumpeter?

I've been collecting Solido/Verem/Gaso line tanks for years. Can't beat real metal with working metal tracks! They are getting harder to find. Mostly on Ebay. I probably have over 100 of them. Polistil and Minichamps are also metal tracked static tanks. Would love to see your Solido's armchairgeneral.

Icecreamslick:

Is that Challenger 2 the FOV (Forces of Valor) 1/32 scale kit? I have one of those and feel it is almost as good as Tamiya's 1/35 scale model, its bigger (1/32 scale), heavier, and its made of metal.

Will

Yes, it is from FOV, but I was not sure of the scale until you mentioned 1:32. That sounds correct, but it was not a "kit"... I just opened the box and put it on a shelf.

I want to see your stuff, ArmChairGeneral.

never thought of making a shelf like that and have it a diorama. that would be awesome. I scoured wal-mart for the 1:72 scale tanks they were selling there, i should find a shelf thing like that for them...

also love the tank carrier! those are awesome.

Yes, I'd like to see the Solido's, and any other military diecast for that matter! Just won 2 more Solido vehicles off eBay, I've got over 650 diecast military vehicles now, Britains, Corgi, Dinky, Matchbox, Solido etc. Running out of space! Can post pics of mine if anyone wants to see them!

The shelf in the picture above is actually a silverware tray for your kitchen drawer that I found at Target for $3.00.

OwlsfanDan, I want to see some of your collection! 650?!!! Wow!
