Hello all at AMT.

I have recently flown my Avonds F-15 with the latest AMT Pegasus HP. The Avonds kit is his old version, not the new full composite kit.

The engine is fully ducted, and uses the original exhaust supplied with the kit, with no cascade ejector in the tail pipe as suited to the Pegasus.

Maximum thrust is very well below the full potential of the engine even though it is running at 119.5K. Is there a modification, or an after market pipe suited to the power
levels and mass flow of the Pegasus?

I am pleased with the aircraft however, and hope to have many enjoyable flights with it.

Best regards, Frank Laguda.

Frank,
It is difficult to tell if the thrust tube is suitable for your installation without seeing it. A word of caution though, be careful with that engine/airframe combination. That airframe was not designed to have that large an engine installed.

Thanks for the advice Mark. Once the full power potential is reached, I will definately be exercising caution with the throttle, however the F15 is quite a "draggy" airframe.
Best regards, Frank.
