I have a Webra 40 that runs great on cool dry days. Transition from low speed to high speed is perfect and it has plenty of power. After trial and tribulation I've come to the conclusion that outside temperature has considerable effect on needle setting. As the temp goes up and the humidity increases the transition period degrades and I don't really know what the problem is. I run Cool Power 30% helicopter fuel only because I have Saitos that seem to like this fuel. I've heard these engines are intolerant to nitro. Would this be the reason for inconsistency in needle valve setting? I'm hoping there is someone who has experience and would be willing to share it with me.

Oh boy, 30% is way too much. 0-10% is usually fine. These webras are made to race and therefore run well on FAI fuel. In Europe where the Webras are manufactured nitro is very expensive (I have to pay about 90-100 USD per gallon). It's going to run very hot on all that nitro. Do your engine a favour. Buy some low(or zero)-nitro fuel.

Perminator, Is it fair to assume this engine was designed for constant high rpm operation as compared to my flight style which consist of flying at 1/2 throttle for most of the time and only using high rpm for vertical maneuvers and high aoa attitudes.

The Webra doesn't need to run at high speed all the time. Your problem is the fuel in relation to the temp and humidity. If you need to use 30% nitro fuel you need to add head shims to lower your compression. Webra engines are set up with very little head clearance so they will develop good power on low to no nitro fuels common in Europe. You should add a shim to go to 15% and more shims as you go up in nitro.
