Does anyone have the NitroTruggy?
I'm new to r/c and am getting my 13 yr. old son one for christmas. I figured it would be an inexpensive way to see if he will stay interested in this new hobby. It will be something we will be doing together so I know it is not to be taken lightly...
Where can I get a single sped transmission for it? I have been following all of your conversations, and have been taking extensive notes! I want to be informed by Christmas!!!

If your wanting to get something that will last, well nothing really ever last's but anyways

http://www.redcatracing.com/products.asp?type=nitro

There at that website, they do have an engine replacement program that even if you take a hammer to your engine they will replace it and if you want to upgrade the engine you only pay half the cost of the engine. something to really look into.

If it doesn't have to be a truggy, we have the Redcat Tornado that comes with a starter kit and shipping is included for $155.00 check it out it's a great buggy for a beginner and doesn't cost much to get into the sport.

heres a link for the single speed trans that you asked for: http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/servlet/the-132/Single-speed-gear-set/Detail

you would need a smaller single speed clutch bell too, like a 13 tooth hpi, you can get the whole thing here including the clutch bell:
http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/servlet/the-226/clutchbell-and-diff-kit/Detail

even though it says volcano, it will work on the truggy too.

If you are going to switch from a 2 speed to a single speed all you need is:

http://www.redcatracing.com/itemdetail_part.asp?partno=05126
and
http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/servlet/the-760/HPI-clutch-bell-14T/Detail
or
http://www.redcatracing.com/itemdetail_part.asp?partno=02107

Either clutch bell will work. the 14t will give you more bottom end and the 16t will give you more top end

Your dog bones stay the same and the new tranny comes with a new set of breaks.
