Old Guy w/new toy,
Son of mine sent me a Walkera 5G4 for Christmas. Had it up about 10' and it keeps rotating. How do you trim this baby so I can steer it where I want to go?

Karl,
I'm not sure yours is the same as my 5#10, but in mine, the rudder trim needs to be centered before you plug in the heli battery. It seems that the receiver assumes whatever position the trim lever is in is neutral. If the lever is in the center, you can then move it left or right to trim the rudder as you fly. If it's too far to the left or right, you can only go the other way with it.
Try it and see if it works for you.

Sometimes the manufacturers do listen to what people want.

This first picture is from Nov, 2005, flying my Lama2 in my living room. At the time, this was one of the only coaxial helis you could buy.
Pictures 2 and 3 are of a home made canopy for my Lama "Sport" converion. The link to the full conversion is here http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=3640176
Picture 4 is my Lama Sport flying in the living room in Dec. 2005.
Picture 5 is 2 years later, Dec. 2007, of my 5#10.

Basically, with the 5#10 Extreme, Walkera has manufactured what I was trying to make.

Mine too came with a broken skid. No biggie a little thread wrap and some CA and good as new. I fly mine in the Apparatus bay at our fire station. THE GUYS LOVE IT. I see them getting a few. I can get mine up to about 8 feet and set the TX down it sits in a motionless hover. AWESOME FOR LEARNING. I was flying patterns in the bay on about the second flight or so, something I could never do with a CP heli.
I was looking for some more on the web and I seen the same heli but it came with a 7.4 volt battery. This isnt correct is it????????
I will try and take some pictures of it flying at work today and post.
I LOVE THIS THING..
MIKE KEEP THEM IN STOCK.

Hey,

My sons keeps spinning to the left. Even after trying to trim it out? Any secrets to stopping the spin or did we get a bad one?

f451, maybe post #28 (above) will help. Center the rudder trim before you turn on the Tx.
