I don't think I'd bend the battery. I'm going to fasten mine to the bottom of the frame with some small velcro straps. By the way the Xtreme blades are BadA@#$% blades. With the stock battery they shorten the flight time a little but the little beggers goes like a bat. They really do have a lot more lift than the stock blades, they are about 3/8" longer than the stock Lama 3/4 blades and the stock HM5 #10's but they work fine and are much more durable. be great to see how they do with the HiCap battery. If I ever get mine I'll post a photo of the mount.

Well I finally got the batteries from MaxAmps. I got the connectors soldered and the batteries wrapped. They allow about 10 mins of flight time as opposed to 7 mins with the stock battery. I got to fly two packs yesterday then the wind got to high for the little coax but there is a real improvement in flight time and power with the MaxAmp cells. I ended up putting Velcro on the inside of the skid mounts and on top of the cell. Works fine. The other thing I bought is a Great Planes Lipo 4 charger, there a little pricey but allow you to charge four cells at the same time. The charge rate is adjustable for each cell and it cuts the charge time to one hour. Look on the Great Planes Electrifly site. Great Charger!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, here are the photos with the SuperSkids, MaxAmp Battery and the Xtreme Blades.[image][/image] Next project is to reverse the frame rails and machine some spacers to widen the battery holder enough to allow the MaxAmp cell to mount in the battery holder. Oh yea, I found some 180 size motors from Xtreme, so that's after the spacer thing

I have used Super-Skids for a few weeks on my Walker 5G10 2.4 gHz with great success! I am interested in tryint the Xtreme blades. Any suggestions as to where to get them in the USA ??
My suggestion would be to get them from Mike, Jr. at Ka-planes. Their web site is ka-planes.com. They may be a bit higher than some of the others but their service is second to none.

Those look great, a little rich for my blood. The Xtreme blades are really tough and $ 4.00/set. Think I'll wait and see how hard it is for you to break th CF's before I invest that much money.

I received the blades today and wow they are beautiful.
But. . . . They won't work for the 5#10
This heli fits Lama v4 blades and CX2 blades so I figured your blades would fit too. Well they were too thick so I took one set and sanded them down to fit into the blade holders.
Well, the heli won't lift. Even with a fresh back and the throttle trim up all the way it just sits.
So I put back my Lama v4 blades and it lifted at 1/4 throttle.
Well now I'm sitting on one set that I altered so I know the seller won't refund that set but the other set I hope he does except back for a refund. Oh well it was worth the try.
Remember you said they are too rich for your blood right now.
The guy said I can return the second set. But I am at a crossroad here, I can (A) sell off the set I sanded and try to make some of my money back or (B) cut them down and try them on my brushless 5#6.
Ordered my 5 10 2.4g and will be here on monday. Do many people have the 2.4g and if so, happy with it? Can't wait, heard so much good stuff about this heli.
