I re-post the pic from the eBay link here..

Need to look at the other side of the wheel to see how it is connected to the chain driven hub.. but I am sure w/ some modification, they will fit...

I wonder if it is aluminum?! Hard to tell from the pic... ?! We need an owner of Heavy Metal to let us know!

Hey LB ,just checked the part number with the gp nitro blizzard manual, the numbers match and they are plastic replacemnets.
in the picture you can see the plastic mould lines, checked online with kyosho japan and they dont and wont make aluminium replacements, maybe someone out there can do lost casting could make them???
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news,
Rick.

Yeah, if you go back a page or two, you would see my comment regarding the drivewheel setup. To me, that's the only part of the design that I think should be improved.

Oh well... you can't have everything...

Oh yeah, Kitsune, you gonna make the front brace for your EV?

Yeah, when I get a chance. I'm waiting for some setup tools to come in for my milling machine, and then I've got some parts to finish on one of my mini tanks. I'll get to it eventually, though. Just have to go easy on it while it's lacking a brace.
If I get a rotary table for my machine, I might even try some front sprockets out of aluminum. That's not going to be for a quite while, though. Both the cost of setup and dificulty of making the part are a big hinderance.

After you setup your machining capability, you can start selling parts to us!! Ha!

Yeah, the brace should be very simple. You just need a lathe and some aluminum tubes.. !!

I was thinking something easier.. some gear reduction that's on the market already.. and make sure the output shaft spin in the same direction as the input shaft... and keeps the same distance as before..

Anyway, I think I will run it as is and just enjoy it.. if (like never! [D:]) it ever wear down, I am sure the drive sprockets are cheap enough to just toss in some new ones...

Got any pics of your Blizzard?!

No, don't have anything in mind, but basically just your basic gear reduction.. just an idea in my head.. if you go to Tower or rc4wd (www.rc4wd.com), you will find some gear reduction unit.. that basically a geartrain that shift the driveshaft for a given distance...
