Thanks.

The stock battery mounting location is the rear right? How much height is there? Yeah I was thinking that there will be more room at the front. I was going to run it on 10S NiMh but now all-battery says they are out of stock. I was thinking of making 2 saddle packs of 5 cells, thus splitting up the weight evenly. 10S NiMh / 3S LiPo / 4S A123 will all yield about the same voltage.

Batt is in the front ... A sidewinder 4600 brushless on a 38 or 4200 nimh gives alot of speed and runtime. You have approx 1" of height in back to work with

My bad then. For some reason I thought the battery was in the back.

I have a Feigao 9S 380 size motor for it. It is 4386 KV. That should do!

Should be plenty. I'm not real up on elect motors. Does a 380 have the same bolt in pattern ? 4386 is close nuff to 4600. You mite want to start with a 27 pinion / 48 pitch

Yes but slightly smaller magnet diameter.

The stock pinion is 17T / 48P right?

Yes , I believe that is correct ( 17/48 ) If I ever get more snow, I'm trying a 30. I run the 27 now. I think JimBliss was thinking even a 33 on his. Don't know if he has yet.

How hot is everything getting? Increasing the pinion gear by 10 is a huge jump!

Did u get a used ebay'r or a new one. I would def go with bearing's ( at least the diff to start ) grease the diff gears and load it with 100,000 diff oil and do the break pads. This is alot of power versus stick. You'll get more life and control out of it. Do the other brg's asap also.

Mine runs cool. We're talkin winter weather here. Look back a few pages for Jim and my setup locations. I went with a box and he bagged. It is a huge jump, but look at the motor diff.

I got one off of Ebay. Already had bearings, plow, brass sprockets etc. They were backordered at Ultimate hobbies.

I saw your ram air intake. Pretty interesting.

I don't RC much in the snow / cold anyway so I'll probably get rid of the plow. I have fans that I can put on it for summer running.

I was just surprised about the pinion size. If I put a +10 pinion on my brushless LST2 it would get across the yard once before everythign melted.

So far, I love it. $129 complete was a good choice for me.
