Do I can use this : Traxxas Titan 550 Motor 12T ? My DF-300 EP got one LRP A.I. Automatic Runner Plus Reverse ( ESC ) I know it support only 15T + motor but I have read somewhere I can use it this motor without problem because a 550 size motor its like a 540 size 14 - 15T ... and I think im going to use 22 - 23T pinion with the stock spur gear 86T.

Hopefully an electronic expert will chime in.

The best course of action is to contact the manufacturer of the ESC.

I have an old 775 size motor out of a cordless drill...I think that would make an interesting candidate for the Bliz. I'll bet you could put a huge pinion on it!

That is indeed the case, BUT, then you are assuming that the LRP Runner Plus can truely handle a 15T motor!

It probably can, but just saying all motors are different.. the "turn limit" is really just a guideline.. a silvercan is 27T.. a stock racing motor is 27T.. and clearly the 2 pulls different current...

You can probably give it a try although I'd think it is cutting too close for comfort for me..

Finally got mine running...for a few minutes. It isn't as clean as come other installs but it will do.

I kept loosing the tracks. Is there a was to tighten them up so they don't slip off as easily? Then the track ripped. Is it easy to find new ones?

The steering needs work also. Just the slightest touch makes a big change in direction.

Where is a good place to get parts from? Ultimate Hobbies doesn't have much of a selection.

Last I saw, Ultimate showed tracks. Combo of brake pads and the 100,000 diff fluid settles down the steeering , etc. I can send you the fairly lame directions for the DF. Install doesn't look that bad, after all you're testing. Track breakage might be an age thing too. It's that damn Lipo and big motor .. lol

Youch!, that's truly lame, the old style tracks are reputed to have pliability problems. It looks as if they had a lot of miles already as well. I would just get a set of Kyosho #BL10B and slap those on. I have bad news to report.....some "hung like a hamster" hacker has killed the Making-Trax forum, punks!.

I checked and they don't. Kyosho has some though.

So doing the brakes pads makes them not as grabby? What about using wheel bearing grease?

Is there a way to adjust the tracks though?

That must be why I couldn't post there the other day then.

Yes , although I'm not real sure on an older one ( but it must be the same ) look real close at the end and see where you loosen a couple of screws on the side and slide the axle back a bit

I don't know how, but it must have been only a few hours ago, I was on there this morning. There is a lot of valuable Blizzard information, hopefully it can be saved.

It looks as if the rear most roller can be adjusted forward and backwards. Looks as if that would tighten the treads up.

The axle should slide on both sides
