The stock motor get way too hot for my liking, so I am going to add a heat sink with a small fann to keep the motor cool

Your running the poor thing out of it's element. It's a SNOWCAT = winter = cold, Lol. My strobe light bar showed up, so I'll tear it back apart.

Good. That should have you about ready for the trip then. Show some pics. Also, we demand pics on the trip. I almost have the light bar done. Need to mnt the control board in the cab and solder in the power source. What fun ! Strobe speed is adjustable.

Nomobux, I got another month before my trip to Cornwall on vacation, but here are a couple of pictures of the heat sink and fan fitted,
What make is the strobe bar that you have fitted and where did you get it from. it definitely looks better than the one that came with the blizzard

Fan and sink looks good. The bar is fom Tower ... Ram .. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000897484&I=LXDZ75&P=K
I don't do electronics too well, so I went this route. A bit spendy. What I did was mount it all in the cab ( lite, wires, control board ) cut the power leeads and put a plug in. I can remove the cab and unplug .. easy as far as taking the body off. If a guy was into doing this stuff, I'm sure you could do it cheaply.

Ha !!! I cost you some money ! One thing, When you drill 2 small pilot holes at 2 5/8 " on center, then the oringinal lite holes are a bit at the inside edge of what will be the new 3/8 holes. I put a little pressure on the reamer to cut towards the side of the cab, so as to keep it at 2 5/8. you'll see what I mean. Take it easy and it works out good. Then I hit everything inside the cab with a dab of hot glue to secure it. I do think it was a little over priced tho. Man ! the shipping kills you guys. Mine was $3.99 parts express and that was bad 'nuff for what it is !

Nomobux, you did not cost me any money I was looking for a light bar for the top of the Blizzard, if I could not find one on the 'net I was going to buy some flashing LED's and make one myself using the kyosho one as a template, thanks for the info on how you installed the light bar

when I bought the blizzard it cost me US $65 for shipping from Japan, I got it via e bay in 3.5 days, I ordered it at 9am Monday morning and it was on my doorstep at 7am on the Thursday of the same week, I don't mind paying the shipping cost as long as it gets to me within 5 working days. so when I get a quote from UPS for 7 to ten days at $49.99 then I will go for the cheaper option and will receive the item in the same time frame
