Only seen one vw in here. I dont own anything special. Its just an 85 vw cabriolet that i got for free.

Heres what it looked like when i got it. Dont have pics of the inside but the interior was beat up, mold on everything, driver seat was broke and had to be held up by a milk crate, Top was slashed and broken into, the 5 speed was shot, and the whole car rattled when i went over 35mph.

And heres what it looks like now. Got most of the issues taken car of, like a new top, replaced the power steering rack with a manual rack, rebuilt and replaced all of the shifters bushings blah blah blah. I have gotten alot of positve and negative comments on this car. But i love it even if its known to be a "girls car"

wow i read about the guy wit the pinto on page 2, and where we drag race there is a blown pinto with a 460 and a 250-shot of nitrous, that thing is one of the fastest cars down there. another story about racing and pintos, there was this guy i know, hes 16 , driving his parents stock pinto. and then there was this guy with a sleeper monte carlo, looked totally stock, but under the hood it had a massive turbo. i was sitting behind the startr line, even though your not really supposed to, and the light went green. the pinto took off, and the monte carlo sat there. and sat there. and sat there, building a massive amount of boost. i was like 20 ft away and you could hear the turbo screaming. then it took off, ran a 5 second 1/4 mile pass, and beat the pinto who had a half track head start. that was one of the fastest cars there... later he had a motor problem and my dad went over and offered to help him, but he just snapped and was like telling him off and stuff. but my dad knows alot about motors and he was prettys ure he knew what was wrong but that guy was trying to make it look like he knew what he was doing. he was only like20-ish. our cars.. umm.. we have a lot but most of them are in reall bad shape..

cars in bad shape:P- dodge colt, camaro, ford pickup, dodge shadow, ford..um.. van, cadillac something or other, couple others i cant remember

good shape- 75 ford f100 with a 390- aprox 400 hp, and it has 455 gears, so it haulssss, dodge dart, ford farimont wagon, were putting a 600+hp 302 with nitrous in it, its gonna be our new race car, dodge 1500, ford motorhome, jeep liberty with lift kit and some other goodies, pontiac parisienne safari, couple other i forget..

It's actually 2 stroke.650cc Bombardier w/Tilletson carb.Has electric and pull start.About early to mid 80's[dont have any log books].I've been researching it on and off in my spare time to do a restore on it eventually. The research part kind'a became a spare time hobby.I'm told it may have been a early Formula 400/440 series car by a couple of potentials that came by to view it recently.Only I.D. # on it besides the engine plate[pic] is a stamped 0451 on the bottom part of the frame.I guess it means 0451 of 500 or 1000 built?Ohwell, right now between going back to school and work I dont have time for it and like to see it go to someone who wont chop it up or part it out.Sorry if the pic's hard to see.
