ORIGINAL: ThunderbirdJunkie Solid axle out back, coil springs. Independent suspension in the front You have the electric switch on the dash for your 4wd? it may just be the switch or the shift solenoid that's the issue. Shouldn't be an awful fix... www.fordtruckworld.com is a pretty good website with all the info you'll ever need about your truck quote:
ORIGINAL: s7jstep1 ive tested everything. its down to either operator error, or the GEM (computer control module). my last resort is to jack it up in the driveway and mess around with it and see if i can get it to work. i havent tried it since it got stuck in low range without the front differential engaged so i was basicly in 2 low. i had to drive home at 25 mph (luckily it was only about a mile of road with traffic, the rest was a 4x4 trail) its fixed now. it was the GEM module. one of these days ill get some new pics
