On another website I have seen a tool for the Trex 450 that you position on the mainshaft to locate the swashplate absolutely level for adjustments. Is this tool compatible with the BeltCP or are the head too different?
Also, I saw mention that the one way bearing and gear set from another helicopter model, possibly the trex, is interchangeable with the BeltCP, any verification of this?

Thanks for your help

The swash leveling tool will work on the BeltCP. They are both 5mm shafts. The head is removed to use this tool, so what type it is is of no consequence.

They work real well and are very useful

MX-400 Main is the best substitute. Tower and Advantage Hobby carriy it for like $6. Heavier plastic and comes with a one way bearing installed. 2 less teeth(138) so head speed goes up a little(30-50 RPM) TRex won't work as it is too big and has 150 teeth.

what about the one way bearing from the 450, is it interchangeable with the Belt main gear? I have a hobbyshop in my area that carries loads of Trex parts and that would be a quick fix.

One ways are the same from what I've seen. as they use the same diameter main shaft

The mx 400 gear fits very well but needs a small shim over it or the gear rubs the frame and heats the oneway bearing up causing it to slip in the plastic. (I found this out the hard way) As far as the whole debate over trex parts fitting the belt cp I have a belt cp with a trex head on it you need to cut the belt cp main shaft just a couple mm shorter to make it work The tail booms will interchange with some minor mods unless you want to run a trex tail housing then its a easy swap. None of the trex head parts will really work on a cp head with the exception of the dampening orings. And for those who want to know and it does make a differance to me my belt cp has stock brushless motor mx 400 main gear and performs as well or better then the trex with a 430l align motor all while giving me longer flight times. I crashed my trex and I am not going to waste my time fixing it the parts to repair the rex are more then the price of a new bare bones belt cp. And I like the battery mounting so much better on the belt I am just going to fly the belt from now on with a trex head so I can get parts easily. Not that the trex is a bad heli you just need more money to get it to fly as well in my opinion belt cp frame 7 dollars trex frame (ccpm) 18 dollars and both are fragile and likely to break in a stiff crash Just my opinion Im not a pro but not a beginner either just another person hooked on helicrack. Just remember always bring a bag to the flying field you may need it to bring home your heli.

The only personal part interchange experience I have for the Belt CP (so far) is...

Blade 400 main gear with one-way bearing fits and works perfectly.
Blade 400 main rotor blades fly really nice compared to the stock Esky rotor blades.
(stock blades are 315mm - Blade 400's are 325mm)
