Regarding NITRORCX: I ordered a remote controlled gas powered ATV in Dec. 2007 as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. It arrived in a timely fashion, but when my boyfriend opened it up the guy that sits on the ATV was broken. We thought we could just get a replacement of the figure. Then my boyfriend tried starting it up and it starting smoking. I also ordered the start-up kit. Well, we called and called and called. We got either no answer at all, or a message telling us our party is not answering and to try later, or a busy signal. This went on for days and days. Finally, I sent them an email explaining that the item was broken and also that upon starting it up the unit was smoking. I asked them to send me a postpaid label to return the defective unit. They said it was up to us to pay the shipping back. I have NEVER dealt with a company that makes YOU pay for the return of a defective product! What kind of a policy is that? Pretty tacky. We finally shipped the ATV back along with the starter kit (don't need a starter kit if I don't have the ATV). It was like pulling teeth to get the Return Authorization from them. To add to that, I received from them an email stating that they received the items back and that my credit card would be credited in 2-5 days. Fine. I kept checking my credit card account for the refund. It finally showed up....short $26.79. I understand that the shipping is non-refundable, but the ATV was $169.00 and the starter kit was $14.95. That equals $183.95 according to my way of figuring. The shipping was $14.15. They charged my card $198.10. So, minus shipping (plus what I had to spend to ship the items back), I should have been refunded $183.95. Instead, I received $157.16. Still have not received the rest of my refund. I may report them to the BBB. I WILL NEVER buy from these people again. They are not good business people.

i got me a nitro rc buggy from nitro rcx around three weeks before christmas and it showed up like three days later. opend it up and nothing wrong with it and till this day its been [ a good car so right before christmas i decied to order my 8 year old son an electric one and it came within a few days. everything looked good and we charged the battery over night and the next day we went outside to see what this thing could do. for one thing his car goes super slow for spending over $100 just for the car and to top it all off he drove the car for like 5 min if that and the car was acting like the battery was dead after i fully charged it it was makeing a clicking sound like it wanted to go but wouldent.i charged it again and it did the same thing,so since before christmas ive been trying to call both numbers and one is always busy and the 1-800 number is temp disconected. i tried to send them 2 e-mails and still no responce, so his car just sits there brand new. this makes me so mad at these people hopefully someday in this lifetime they will answer the phones. there like 2 hours from me and it really makes me wanna drive down there and get the refund for my sons car and give them a peice of my mind someone should turn them in.

okay putting this here so everyone knows where to go and where NOT to go (I'm sure everyone is reading this thread so why not)

Here is how it works:

1) HSP (High Speed) and HimotoRacing make the cars.

2) Exceed puts their name on them and sells them.
2) RedCat puts their name on them, upscales them and sells them (RedCat puts on better servos, parts, electronics and motors).

3) raidentech (626)-968-9860
3) nitrorxc (626)968-9860

the last two are the same. They distribute ExceedRC stuff. I wouldn't call either of those two! If you want to stay cheap, at least call ExceedRC (626)-369-2301. They might be busy, but they'll answer the phone and help you. The last order I did, I was able to get 2x replacement bodies from ExceedRC when the other two said that "there was none around". Of course, they don't make them or even advertise them on the site. Exceed had more than I could buy!

I would suggest going to RedCat for sure though! They are the best, most reliable, most support, most responsive and so on. It might be a little more, but you'll be happy when the package arrives for sure!

I tried for weeks to get through as well. Finally got through tonight and was on hold for another 10 minutes. They dont even really have a hold on the phone. I could hear people talking and laughing as well as phones ringing the whole time. My pullstart broke so i wanted to get one from them for free since we had just bought the truck. Had alot of problems with the servos and receiver as well but most of those problems were from screws cutting the wires when put together . Really seems like a fly by night company. But if you look at the hours of service its like 6 hours a day. So it makes it harder to get through as well. As for my wait getting through and on hold...............they told me its a special order item. LOL. And as soon as they find one they will send it right out to me. Needless to say i dont think i will ever order anything from them again.

quick correction on #1
hsp makes the cars, himotoracing has hsp make them to their specifications just like redcat does, only redcat is better
