If you follow the electronic news, you should know that burp charging is a gimick that none of the battery manufacturers advocate, purely a sales gimick. rod

I`m not really into electronics so I`m pretty much relying on what I hear. Anyway, the story I get is that the SmartFastCharger(Australian) really works great despite beeing put down as BS by the major manufacturers.
Has anyone tried this charger??

I understand that both the Sirius, and Ace Super Smart chargers are "Burp chargers".

I use both, and I'm extremely pleased with both. I don't know if it's due to any Burping, but they get the job done very nicely.

In our neighborhood these two chargers have an excellent reputation of getting the job done. Is it because they include the
Burping feature ? You tell me ? But I wouldn't leave home without them !

I have an Ace Smart Charge. I am very happy with the results even though the burping part doesnt work...it's still a good all around charger. I would, on retrospect, wish I would have known more about chargers when I bought this one and would have liked to have one with a cycler built in. Oh well, live and learn... at least it works well as a charger only..

Yea, burp charging is all marketing hype, even Red Schofield says so.

I've been using fast field chargers for 20 years now (Ace, Hitec) and the current one is the Sirius and it fast charges my batteries just as well as any of the other fast chargers I've used, course the batteries don't get nearly as hot as they do with the non-burp chargers I've used but that must be just marketing hype, oh and I do cycle my batteries regularly and the capacity of some of my mid-life batteries is going up. Again, just marketing hype I'm sure.

Theory is great, but my actual experience tells me there's more there than marketing hype!

It's true Sirius does advertise that their chargers use "burp charging", it's all hype, but the chargers work great. I seriously do not think it's due to "burp charging" though. I'm in Red's corner on this one.

I used several burp chargers from TEKIN for charging r/c racing car batteries, the only positive thing we could notice was with older batteries and with the early P.170 (panasonic 1700) that many times regular chargers would not even start a peak charge with these cells, the TEKIN with the burp charge on or as they called it PowerFlex would peak charge problem cells without any problems. We also noticed and effect on regular cells , charging on Powerflex would give a slightly lower peak voltage but a slightly better run time, We also noticed that the older cells would improve over time when using powerflex but never as good as they were when new. So although I don't believe there is any advantage to it , it did do something, but I have no Idea if it had anything to do with breaking down the crystal formations in the plates like it is said to do. You can also get some of the same effects above by simply using lower charge rates.

You hit the nail on the head !
I own two Sirius Pro Chargers and I wouldn't use anything else.
If your batteries don't get warm while charging thats a good thing. Reverse pulse charging works plain and simple. Seems to me old Red just has a bone to pick with a certain charger manufactuer. The proof is in the pudding.
