All of a sudden, like while I am using the forums, the screen quites refreshing normally, and now it fades away into a refreshed screen....very annoying. What gives?

Better do away with, cause it's the pits as far as I'm concerned. Why do people always have to monkey with something that's working?

Vince,

sometimes I like to try stuff and see if it works...changes and trying stuff has made most of what you see here today...some stuff didn't work and you don't see it. the effect is gone as I listen to the users and make the site what they want it to be.

the second I stop improving this site and keeping up with features needed then the site will fall behind. Granted this case was just eye candy but some people like it and some hate it. That's why things like that won't be implemented until it becomes a users choice to turn it on at their option. Keeping it off would of course been the default.

Keep up the great work, Vince!

I've learned more, and traded more information on this forum in the short time it's been up, than in months of tediously slow attempts at "the other" foum.

I really appreciate the organization, speed, and picture posting ability that you have brought to us, and I know that many others do, as well. That's obvious from all the activity here. Keep going, man!

Sincerely,
Mike James

Please accept my apology. I really appreciate the swiftness that you exhibited in changing it back when the complaints started coming in. I guess I was expecting the same thing we used to get at the other forum, where a change was made and we just had to live with it. This forum is fast, friendly, and responsive to user input...what else could we ask for?

Vince,

Thanks...hey if all the users want something or don't want something it's my job to give 'em what they want.

I limited a clean wipe to only when you enter the user control panel and no place else. Since people don't view that as much as all the pages here it should maybe just be neat effect.

It won't work with webtv, netscape or older browsers. I'll also work on an option to disable it at the users preference.
