The stock set-up will not be able to tell the difference in battery type and you should stick with a pair of 2S packs for correct voltage.

If you get largest packs that'll fit in the stock battery trays (2S x 5000 mah approx.) then it will still be lighter than nickel batteries while being able to provide the current without overheating packs.

A LVC (lowvoltagecut-off) is a good idea to protect the batts from dropping too low in voltage, and nearly any lipo charger will work because they are universal (JUST get the right connectors)

Tere's too many for me to recommend specifics, but here's 5 good places to start.

http://vampowerpro.com/store/Batteries!Platinum.htm

Check size of battery tray and batter pack closely to make sure it fits. I USUALLY TRY TO put in largest capacity that'll fit.

ps the links were possibly for 6 cell battery trays and the new e-maxx may be able to use longer lipos than the old e-maxx.
