Guys, been flying pattern for the last 25+ years and have always love and stuck with 60 size planes - nostaligic I guess - nothing like and MK Arrow, Aurora or an Atlanta with a screaming YS60 RE. I've finally broke done and I'm considering on building a 91 size ship - namely an MK VR90. My question, I've been searching various buy and sell sites as well as Ebay and I've notice a number of the YS91AC for sell. I've also read where YS is discontinuing the 91 and going to a 1.10 - how realiable is the 91AC? Is it a stump puller? Does is have a period like are counterpart (female)? Is tuning a hassle? Could use any info and advice. I' ve always perferred less moving parts, one crank, one piston, one rod - bump it one time with the starter and away she goes. I've heard pros and cons about these engine so I enlist your help - Thanks, Steve

PS - Will, if you read this I would love your input.
I really hate selling that Bully back - what a gorgeous engine
hope you have a use for it. Who now, maybe I'll buy it back
again.

The 91AC is an excellent engine. The 91FZ had some slight carb changes as well as a redesigned muffler so the head wouldn't be destroyed if you do something hard enough to rip the muffler off of the engine.

Yes, they are very powerful for a 90 sized engine.

I've had total of 5 YS91AC/FZs for the last 4 years.
All of them ran very well once set correctly.
Right now I only have one 91AC (had most trouble with this one for idling problem) and sold all others.

FZs ran a little bit better in the high end. One AC with FZ needle ran stronger than FZs. No idea why.

YS 91s are the strongest 91 4-c available. When I had trouble, YS Performance always helped well.

My 91AC, Hatori header, ES Carbon pipe, and APC 14x10 combo pulls my 9 pound plane quite well with Magnum #2. Thinking about building a foam wing to reduce weight.

Since I only used original muffler on stand, I never had problem with loosing muffler.

I am looking forward to have 110 later this year.
