plus I am looking for the same wing plug in system thats in your fuse, did they come with the kit
and/or where can I get a set ?

I've been out of town for a few days... so sorry for not getting back to you sooner

yes the kit came with the plug in wing system... maybe if you call cermark they can help you out

if you do a search for cermark rc... I'm sure you'll find them

I will video the maiden... along with a few others If all goes well

I'm assembling a Cermark F-16 turbine, using a PST600R (14 lbs thrust). The instructions are very brief. What throws are you planning on using for the flight control surfaces? And, what is the central setting for the elevator? The suggested CG is 6.0 to 6.5 inches. Is that a good range?

I've done alot of research on this plane over on rc groups..
Most of the guys are going with 40mm on elevator, 20 mm ailerons, i don't have rudder but I'm going to start with a low setting and work up... I'll use -30 expo as a start point

now as for the CG I talked with Tam (Tam Jets) who used to sell this plane and has many test flights he say 5 inch is perfect... 6 to 6.5 will be very tail heavy... I'm going to start at 5 maybe go back a 1/4 or so..

main thing I've been told is to use a very hot iron on the wing leading edge maybe even some tape or clear covering over the seam.
The seam is right down the middle of the leading egde there have been more than a few cases of the covering ripping of the wing..

The holidays are over and tomorrow I'm back to work on mine should be done in a few day!!

Thanks for the reply. I'm really surprised on the CG; one inch is a lot!! I guess Cermark didn't fly the model before writing the instructions. What is the center stab setting?

What is the weight of your Cermark with the eletric fan and batteries?

No they must not have flown it..lol
but Tam put many flights on this plane and said to go with 5"
the stab is centered at 10 mm below the fuse seam line measured at the leading egde of the stab
that's with the cg at 5"

it should come in around 15 to 16 pounds ready to fly... which is pretty light compared to turbine

You can also call Tam to confirm he is very helpful even if it isn't his product

Don't worry there is not to many big EDF's here either... but in time it will grow
battery cost will come down and performance wil go up

Very nice build thread, eventhough you may not consider it such. I learned a lot from you and appreciate
your effort. I am in the process of converting the Nitro F-16 from a pusher to an EDF and your posts
are very helpfull. I will be using a 90mm Wemo Midi fan, which fit perfectly in the fuse after triming some
of the formers, an AMMO 36-56-1800, Castle 80A ESC with the CCBEC, Spektrum Tx & Rx and Flight Power
5-6S 4200mAh packs. I'm sure that I willl have more questions for you as I progress and I look forward to
seeing your video. Keep up the good work.

So I got the tabs glued on the fan.. I put wax paper down on the rails..
scuffed up the fan on the sides with sandpaper... laid in the fan ...mixed up epoxy and micro balloons.. clamped the tabs with clothes pins and ta da..it's done.. also glued on the missle rails...

Status: online 		I got all the stickers on which is my favorite part
I used some from the stock ones ..but also mixed in soms from skymaster which looked much nicer.. I picked up there painted 1/8 missles which look great!
I'll put them on after a few flights there only 2 oz.

I also glued on the lower fins.. and let it sit for a night... I used tape to keep them lined up till the glue dryed

Status: online 		I used clear duct tape to tape up the rear duct.. folded it and slide it in ..
I cut out a hole for the ESC wires pulled them threw.. taped the duct to the fan with beldrem tape.. screwed the fan to the mounting rails.. threw on the intake ring and taped it on also...

I placed the batteries where I want them.. for a CG test and the great news is the CG seems to be spot on.. I'll know better once I use my Vanessa CG ring.. but it looks real good... moving everything way to the back really helped out...

I was also shocked that it is a tad under 15 pounds.. I really thought from what I've read it would be 16 pounds.. so this is all great news!!

Tomorrow I'm going to make up the leads for the fan... double check the CG ..set the throws and will be ready to rock
