Hi Guys, A couple of pics of my newest SPAD in the works. 64" wing span, foam core covered with posterboard. 2 1/2" gutterpipe fuse with two 3/4" alum. L stock for the boom with coroplast tail feathers. Evolution .61NT for the powerplant with a 12oz tank. Still need to finish up the wing, cut the wing saddle in the fuse to accept the bottom profile of the NACA 0015 airfoil, and install the radio gear. Prop

Hey Jeff, Thanks for the nice comments! I originally had only one of the L stock for the boom and realized that it flexed too much. Decided to try two, with the vert stab sandwiched in between them, and then realized that a piece of coro would work not only for a spacer between the L bars, but that I could at least get the profile of the Ugly stik fuse out of it too. Finished up the wing tonite with the addition of the ailerons and spraying it with Polyurathane for fuel proofing. Not sure what it's going to finally weigh in at but I hope it's under 8 lbs or so! I should have it ready to maiden this weekend and will post a flight report.
