You need some pylons.

Some PVC pipe over a stake in the ground, or better yet the Ultra Portable Pylon will serve you well as you do more and more pylon racing.

Thanks, Don, for sharing that. I'm sure the club will come up with something great like that.

I'm working out of the back of my van at an hour lunch time at whatever flying site I choose for the day. So what I have works well for me at this stage in my progression.

As I was preparing to send in the waiver request, I remembered this thread and what I had read in a previous issue of Model Aviation. Check out the "Radio Control Aerobatics" column in the January issue. There are two topics discussed, and both are somewhat similar dilemmas to what we write about here.

I said "we" even though I have not been posting much lately. Just seems that whatever Chuck has written is what I would have said anyway.

There are about 4 or 5 clubs in our area in Central IL starting up Four Star Pylon Racing Series this summer.
Our hopes would be to gain some interest in racing and move up to Q500/424 class in the future.
Some of us maybe looking to get involved in some Q500/424 races this summer.

I know Rockford and Wisconsin have some racing events during the year.
I have been on the traditional pylon racing websites and local club websites.
