What is the use of having two fuel filters? o_o

I bought an X1 CRT on Friday, and it has two fuel filters, but I'm not really sure of the use.

firstly it looks cool and secondly it allows you to store more fuel in your car so in a competition you can get a slightly longer run time.

What about using it as a fuel pressure regulator?

What would that do?

it is also use to filter both pressure return line and fuel line if you have one on each if both on the fuel line will act as a fuel resivour meaning more runtime on the track less pit stops and there seems to b alot of fuel tubing to for serious tank capcity way over the limit alowed at my track.

Only if you fill up then tank then prime it and then fill it up again. And the more line you have (like teh pic above with a lot) the more fuel thats there and more run time.

i use to run an empty fuel filter canister on my pressure return line, for whatever reason it seemed to smooth out the fuel flow and throttle response so i kept it on there

Yeah, I took one of the filters off and put it on the return line. I don't really need run times right now, so I want something to give me more performance.

it not for more run time its to keep you fuel from getting dirty dirty fuel may plug up the fuel filter and restrict the flow going into you engine and making it lean out

we all know that. what he asked was why 2 of them. the reason is as stated above. the only downside i see to it is its one more thing that can clog up or leak

So if you run one on the pressure line (pipe to tank) do you run it with or without the filter media in the filter body? Does it really do anything?

Thanks!

you should run it with the filter in because without it the whole filter in the line is useless!! the filter is usefull with and without it only when it is on the fuel line.
