I was asked to try this thing by the owner of our local hobby shop...What it is and does for those who have never heard of it is simple....

You remove your pull starter and one way bearing...Leave them off (put them away for safe keeping) Attach the yank to your drill electric or cordless slip under the body between the body and rear tire slide the yank on to the shaft and hit the drill button...This makes starting you car a breeze...A cheap starting box! These are about 19.99 and are very well constructed!

Disadvantage: There are two at this point!

1. Having to carry a drill to the track!, or local parking lot!

2. The shaft of the yank needs to be longer the drill head if not careful will rub the rubber off your rear tire!

Advantage:
1. It has lightened the truck!
2. Engine is less restricted and is producing more rpm Considerably ( I use a Tach)

All in all a great tool I will continue to use and reccomend it!

Tom

I'm about to get a nitro truck in a week or so, Might have to look at what your doing then we can definately drive together, nitro at that! I'm in the process of dealing with some 1 for a monster pirate and watching a bidding on a really nice Pirate 10.

Thanks an excellent idea, then you could have a long enough extension that the tire is safe!

For all that don't have the means or know how though I still reccomend this yank!

Do you know if the Eliminator tool would work on a HPI Savage?

if you can get to the pull starter area with the shaft and a drill then it will work!

I have an RC-10 that I have been testing it on!

I don't really get how it works, seems like it would be nice to have. How many RPM's were you gaining? If its like 500+ then I might consider getting one. Also, when you take off the pullstart what is there to cover up the engine?
