Maybe it was white, and then faded to yellow.. (aged?) ha!

I think you just need to paint carefully....

Right - well, yellow vs. white I'm not worried about. It's just me wondering if there are any special tricks to paint the letters with any color. I'd be worried I'd bump the sidewall - doh!

I will see how large is the tires on the Wild One.. but a possibility is to run the Grasshopper rear tires, to keep the OEM ones in new condition.. (wuss, ha!)

Will order a set from Tower if I think their size looks okay next to the Wild One...

They might be small, though... but looks pretty scale!

Of course, I can also run the spikes from the Hornet / Frog!

From the reading I have done so far, looks like the design of the tranny allows the tranny halves to move a little bit (or maybe just not rigid enough?) and that allows the grinding of the diff gear.. unless you shime is right..

I found this from TamiyaClub that people made a custom Frog tranny to fit the Wild One!

Sounds like a good idea if you want to run the Wild One hard!

I don't think I will be doing this to my Wild One! (not even sure if I should run it, ha!!)

For the Red Bull fans!

Any idea if those rims are aluminum rims? (look like it, no?)

Note the rear shocks for the Wild One is supposed to be the same as the one found on Frog, except the shock body (Wild One units are flat, Frog's ones are not..).. but they are basically identically setup.

That means the re-re Frog (have the latest parts / improvement, I hope?) can be used as hop-up if one wish?!

They use a tire pen or some type of painting pen.

Saw a NIB example for sale at eBay.. post some pics of the content of the box when it was released years ago..

Note the packaging is very different from the current Tamiya.. Now parts are either in bags or on the plastic trees.. no more old school style blister packs.. (see the pics)
