Welcome, Seahwk95!

I don't know about them still being "around" as they are not available to buy new from the stores.. but you can certainly buy them off collectors, or used ones from eBay, etc. All depends on how much $$$ you want to spend and what condition you are expecting.

But it can be done!!

Hornet, on the other hand, has been re-released. So you can get that from any hobby shops that carry Tamiya!

Thanks for the welcome LB and Dante! Yea, I looked em up on our favorite auction site after reading about them here!!! WOW! I can't believe what they are going for, but hey, it's a classic. Not knocking anybody for buying them at that price, but I didn't realize they'd become such a collector's item. Very cool. I didn't realize that about the Hornet either! Good info. Thanks!

If you just want a runner, I am sure you can get it for a decent price.. for a shelf queen, probably expect to pay $250+!

Here's a Hornet thread I started, you can check it out:

Love the pics!! They are awesome! I see that you run the modern CVA shocks on the back!! So they fit without any problem?

That means, the DF-03 TRF shocks would fit too...

Man, are we slow on this, or what? LoL

Wild One deserves better. But I found a great contemporary motor for mine in the meantime:

Mabuchi RS 540SD Race. Note the huge front ball bearing!

ive never seen one of them before... and i call myself a vintage collector!

what an awesome RC though.. first the 959 thread and now this, brilliant vintage RC's that still make one hell of an impression, many years later

Hey joe,

nice job done one your Wild Ones! Wintertime in Australia means mud, I guess!
Still undecided which front tires to put on mine, the stock ribbed ones (original but boring) or the ones on your clean Wild One (I also have a set of those).

yea its wet and muddy over here i had it out yesterday in the rain it didnt miss a beat besides the rear wheel snapped in the centre so that explains the wheels
original ones are weak as so if you want a runner find something a bit stronger but still looks good
as for the chassis they are so weak iv been testing this wild one out its only standard the chassis has already started to buckle and crack at the front
il get some pics of the aluminium sides iv put on my other one

x3 wild ones/ team losi lst2 full alloy/datsun 510/mini lst2
