I have a .40FP that needs a home. I'm looking for something that is an ARF but would consider building a kit if the plane really got me excited.

I'm looking for ideas that are not the typical 4*'s etc. Some people were recomending I look for a .25 sized airframe to put it in.

Please show my your setups and give me your thoughts.

Paul

I put my well worn (approx 4 gallons of fuel through it) OS 40FP in a Phoenix Models Sonic low wing. It's designed for a .25, but I couldn't get mine to balance without adding weight to the nose. So I elected to add "productive weight" in the form of the 40. Running an 11x5 MAS prop, it will takeoff at 1/2 throttle and go vertical until I get bored / disoriented. All that with a well worn engine!

Hey Cutter,

An os 40la ... that's a tough one ... not a very powerful motor. I think the 1968 Toyota Corona's had more power. If I may suggest - reports do indicate that that motor will put out more horsepower when connected to a Futaba FASST system!

LOL!
