Got the 4th flight on the C-45. Instead of standing behind the plane on takeoff, I'm standing on the flight line and having some trouble keeping her straight on the takeoff. After the landing, I noticed the tail wheel had a lot of side slop in it so I moved the wheel collar closer to the wheel. With experience, I'm getting the landing speed lower. On takeoffs, I'm going scale and going all the way to the beginning of the runway and taking up just about the whole 400' on takeoff.
I'm doing the same with the spitfire on using the whole runway but she's a lot easier to keep straight. I put four flights on the spit. On the first two flights all I did was practice cuban eights on every lap. The third flight was just horizontal eights. The last flight, the wind 'kicked up' in the opposite direction so I practiced the above in the clockwise rotation. One nice thing about going out early by yourself is getting to practice scale maneuvers which can't be done with several other planes in the air.
Nothing too exiting but two videos of the C-45 and spitfire taxiing back to the pits (about all you can do when one hand has the transmitter and the other hand has the camera!).

I usually get very good reviews from fellow pilots but there's always exceptions! Interesting comment from one of the viewers is listed below on the smoke emitted from the jet video. I don't want this to start as any 'personal' bash on the person or their beliefs but just to put out this view to other pilots. This is what the 'general' public may perceive our hobby is and maybe something we need to be prepared to address.

Sam continues to have computer troubles. I am posting videos for him of a C-45 flight he made yesterday. The last two are "outtakes" of the trouble one can have with a multi-engine, tail dragger and picking the wrong spot to stand while taping.

I got a borrowed PC with very limited capabilities until I get my new mother board.
Here's my aborted takeoffs with music (I like the music!): Two of the club members have high end video cameras which does a much better job than my 'still' camera.

The moment we have all awaited is finally here. First flight of Sam's AT-6 occurred this morning. All went well despite a close call with the eight foot corn on take off.
